Don Lapre is an entrepreneur, a
businessman, a family man, and a community
manGENERAL: Don Lapre has a
style all his own. He has a laid-back casual manner and loves
to be comfortable. That is why you’ll almost always find him
wearing shorts, a tee shirt or polo shirt and a baseball cap
worn backwards. He works long hours and wants to be
comfortable while doing it. Plus, it demonstrates his rather
playful side, like the times when he laughs in the eyes of
failure, and says loudly, “Hey, life is a vacation. Enjoy it!
Do this before it’s too late!” But, it doesn’t stop there, he
tries to take this phrase as literal as possible and make his
office environment, for himself and all of his employees, feel
like they’re on “vacation in the tropics” while they’re
working. He has island music playing, tropical beach scene
murals painted on all of the walls, trees and plants
everywhere, and I swear, there is a coconut scent upon
entering the building. So, you see, he doesn’t just “talk the
talk”, Don Lapre “walks the walk” in every possible way to
make life feel like a vacation when you’re in his world. Don
Lapre is admired by his employees and by those closest to him.
He is often described as smart, funny, extremely generous, and
humble. You might not know it from watching him on television,
but this man is a family man first, and always there for the
people in his life, reaching out to all of his employees as
well.
BIO: Donald Lapre was born
May 19, 1964, and moved to Arizona 35 years ago, from
Massachusetts, where he originated. He has 2 brothers and 2
sisters, making for a large household to be raised in. I'm
guessing he didn't pick up the loud personality he has on
television from just anywhere, he probably had to behave that
way at times from growing up in such a large household. He
attended Sunny Slope High School, and although he did not
graduate, that didn't stop him from making a success out of
his life. With an innate eye for business, and the lessons
he's learned along the way, Don knew what he wanted to do with
his life, and whatever it was, he knew he wanted to make a
difference. Don Lapre didn't have a privileged upbringing, and
he didn't inherit anything. In fact, Don's childhood was quite
challenging at times. To this day, Don doesn't like to shop
because of childhood memories of always having to shop in
second hand stores. He was often found working odd jobs, as a
youngster to help make ends meet for his family. Not to say
that is bad, because it might have helped make Don Lapre into
what he is today. Don's entrepreneur brain and heart started
when he was just a child. Here is the proof! He used to buy a
bag of gum for about a penny per piece, and then sell it to
the other kids at school for 3 pennies each. Go
figure!
For his adult life, Don’s values and ideas
continued to spread. He is not only a businessman and
entrepreneur, but also a family man. Don Lapre married his
wife, Sally Lapre, over 18 years ago, and he has 2 daughters
to show for it.
GENEROUS:
He’s always grateful for what he has and shares his success
with many. Don Lapre is known to tip huge in restaurants,
because he loves to make people smile AND to be the cause
of it. Don Lapre has a huge heart and is always striving
to help people, especially his employees. There has been
more than one occasion where he went FAR out of his way
to take care of people. For example, this comes to mind…
there was an employee who was diagnosed with cancer around
2005. While this man was at home and unable to work, Don
made sure to spend time with him and help him, even as
busy as he was. He was seen many times visiting this employee.
Don Lapre has a good heart, and it’s witnessed many times
over.
That's not the only example of Don Lapre's
generosity for people in need. Don is known to help families
who are not connected to his family or employees, but are
needy nonetheless. One favorite story comes to mind, where it
was Christmas time and a home for underprivileged children was
brought to Don's attention. They gave Don a list of presents
they wanted…whatever they wanted, and he bought them for the
families. And, there was a lady once from church who needed
gastric bypass surgery, because she was so ill, and she told
Don that her life depended on it. Don Lapre paid for this by
giving the woman the money.
Another example of his
continuous generosity is to his employees. He has demonstrated
his commitment to them and they are loyal in return. How many
companies do you know that, when it endures hardships, doesn't
layoff or give people pay cuts? Well, Don does not like doing
that, so he takes every possible action before having to
resort to that, and it rarely ever does. Hence, when his
companies go through downtime, he is committed to his
employees and their families and only makes pay-cuts or
layoffs as a very final final resource. He tries every which
way to make the company successful, not only for himself, but
also for his employees. He takes this issue very seriously and
recognizes that his employees have families, too. Don Lapre
tries to take care of them, just as he takes care of his own.
Here is a quote he often has attached at the end of
all of his emails, "Look into the eyes of a homeless man,
rather than looking away, and remember, he might have lost his
mind after he lost his family, and now he needs our help.
Let's all stop and try to help." I couldn't say it better
myself. That is Don's attitude and he lives it.
BUSINESS: As most folks know,
Don Lapre has been on TV for over 10 years selling information
and business opportunity products, health products and more,
to people featuring 900 numbers, buying and selling, reminder
services, real estate services, books, etc. Don Lapre went on
to be a success, thanks to his business accomplishments, which
included both failures and successes.
After
accumulating a successful fortune, he saw most of it wiped
away as a result of bad business choices. But, that didn't
stop him. He kept working at it, in spite of people dragging
his name through the mud. Now, he's making his way back on
top, after working some clever business moves. It was in 1999
that Don ran into some financial trouble with his company and
had to file bankruptcy. It was part of life's learning
lessons, and he learned from his failures. While Don was in
bankruptcy court, a third party ended up buying his
infomercials and info products he had been selling, so they
could sell them. Don and this company reached an agreement
about what they would sell and what they would not sell.
Don is upset about what this company has been doing
with his name. They have not been treating customers properly.
As a result, Don's name continues to be dragged through the
mud even though he has no part whatsoever with this company.
He even alerted the authorities as to the problems customers
were/are having with this new company in the attempt to get
them to stop. It's been a long and very unfair battle, but as
usual, Don will prevail because the truth always prevails in
the end.
| These days, Don is selling vitamins,
supplements and a business opportunity called The
Greatest Vitamin in the World. He has an affiliate
program tied in with it, where you can become an
Independent Advertiser. It's quite an amazing program
where an Independent Advertiser gets paid $1000 for
every new 20 customers they bring him to buy The
Greatest Vitamin in the World. Don Lapre has already
paid out millions to his Independent Advertisers,
proving this company, the business opportunity and the
vitamin are all a success. He has built a winning
business, as the popularity of the vitamins and
supplements are increasing by the day. |

Don decided to make a business
centered around health and wellness because he takes health
very seriously. He recognized an enormous need in our country,
and being the businessman that he is, he also witnessed a huge
opportunity in which to capitalize. How can you spell that any
other way than S-U-C-C-E-S-S?
Don Lapre is a
recognizable man here in the United States. Add to that one of
the most charismatic, extravagant, and sometimes cocky. But,
you'd be hard pressed not to find a workingman who doesn't
admire him. I remember hearing an occasion where an employee
of his attended a conference with other companies to learn
about interactive marketing. When the employee was asked whom
she worked for, they almost always recognized and knew
immediately who Don Lapre was. Then, more often than not, they
replied, "I'd sure love to pick his brain. He's a genius when
it comes to marketing." Don has learned a lot along the way,
he should write a book about this, I'm sure it would be a best
seller.
Don Lapre is truly remarkable in how he
continues to draw people in through television, in spite of
any past failures. Some customers might have tried one of his
products in the past and not been successful; yet, they wanted
to try his next venture with him. People believe in him and
are drawn in by his charisma. I think people recognize that
nothing will stop this man from accomplishing all of his
goals, and then some. Don Lapre is driven to always make
things better. Even when something is working great, Don Lapre
wants to make it better. That's why he continues to improve
upon his already successful business, The Greatest Vitamin in
the World, after already paying out millions to his
Independent Advertisers.
Some could call Don Lapre a
celebrity in his own right, because he has even been
impersonated on Saturday Night Live by David Spade, so his
name is far reaching. Don Lapre has talent and personality.
Those two things, along with his charm and good looks, have
helped make him a success. Don Lapre has been sought after by
many companies to help them in their marketing, because after
all, Don Lapre is known as the "King of Infomercials". It's no
surprise that many people want Don Lapre's advice on how to
market their product. For this reason, it hasn't always just
been vitamins and health that Don has been involved, but also
other products such as a real estate educational program, a
book about Curing Illness, a dating service, and much more.
So, stay on the lookout for more winning business ventures
from Don Lapre, I'm sure they're on the way.
In
closing, there is something else about Don Lapre that has
helped him and made him who he is. Honesty. Don Lapre is an
open book and you only need ask him anything and he'll lay it
on the table. He's known for saying…"If you have a secret to
tell me, you better not tell me, because I don't have any
secrets."
